The 21st century is transforming academic research: the creative and intellectual challenges of our research enquiries are now combined with the demands of a dynamic and ever more globalised society.

SWW DTP gives the Arts & Humanities researcher access to the experience and skills essential for success in this new research world.

SWW DTP2 offers up to 47 fully funded doctoral studentships (39 student-led and 8 CDAs) to outstanding applicants across the full range of arts and humanities subjects. The competition for studentships commencing in September 2022 opens to applicants on 30 November 2021.

Information on the two application routes (including what financial and other support the studentships include) is available here. Details of the application process are available here. UK and international students are eligible to apply. We expect to make at least 5 awards to applicants from the Global Majority and 3 additional awards to applicants with disabilities.
