Full-time Studentships (at 2018/19 rates)

SWW DTP studentships are for three years as standard (or part-time equivalent) unless significant training needs or placement opportunities are identified.

A full-time studentship award comprises:

  • Full payment of tuition fees to the value of £4,260 per annum (or part-time equivalent)
  • A maintenance stipend of £14,777 per annum (or part-time equivalent)

Part-time students should contact their home institution for more information about the part-time equivalent of the full-time studentship.

Students from the EU are only eligible for a fees-only award from the AHRC, however, the SWW DTP2 consortium may provide EU students awarded a studentship for September 2019 entry with a maintenance stipend to the level of that offered by the AHRC to UK students. Please see UKRI’s residency criteria for more information.

CDA Maintenance Payment – £500 per annum is added to the student stipend for CDA students. This is intended to help towards any additional costs incurred by CDA studentships due to the need to work at the non-HEI partner site.
